Beginning Your Practice

Settle into a comfortable seat, ensuring your hips are neutral with support if needed. Align the crown of your head over your heart and center it over your hips. Rest your hands on your legs, opening your chest and heart, and maintain a relaxed posture. Begin breathing deeply through your nose, turning your attention inward, and softening or closing your eyes.

Moving Through the Chakras

This practice guides you through the seven core chakras, running along the spine from the base to the crown of the head. Envision aligning your awareness with your tailbone, the core of your body, heart, throat, third eye, and crown. Breathe deeply, releasing tensions from the day, and focus entirely on the present moment and breath. Set your intention for the practice, whether through words or an energetic message, and honor this beginning with a gentle bow.

Flow and Strength: Yoga Poses

– Cat-Cow Stretch: From a hands-and-knees position, move fluidly with your breath—arching and rounding the spine, stretching your body.
– Extended Child’s Pose to Cobra Pose: Transition between these poses, alternately stretching the front and back of your body.
– Half Plank Pose and Variations: Engage your core by extending legs and arms in alternating poses.
– Lizard Pose and Variations: Explore movements in a deep lunge, encouraging flexibility and strength.

Aligning Mind and Body

Bring awareness to the fourth chakra, the heart center, to explore movements encouraging openness and stability. Dive deeper into your physical power with downward-facing dog and plank poses, noticing the shift of energy from the hips to the heart’s center.

Culminate with Calm and Reflection

As you complete your practice with twists and bridge poses, focus on the higher chakras—throat, third eye, and crown—strengthening your intention and awareness. Allow your practice to integrate with a period of rest, easing into Shavasana, where your body and mind can fully absorb the benefits of your practice.
